'- excerpt from an old shaker hymn titled "simple gifts" (jenna cox)bella rose had an afternoon of delight and adventure. in her bedroom. it is amazing to watch her. this afternoon i put her in her bedroom, on the floor while i was changing her sheets. and she could not believe it, she turned circles, grabbed cords, looked at everything. something as simple as a heater vent was pure delight for her. i realize that she needs to explore everywhere and every room, not just the living room!

tis a gift to be simple, indeed... i think the neatest thing about babies is that everything is brand new and interesting. fox is obsessed with my curtains. he thinks they're the coolest thing since sliced bread. bella button is such a cute little imp!
