'a human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, and die gallantly. specialization is for insects.' - robert a. heinlein (john o. anderson)i love it when people make beautiful things by hand. it is amazing to me gifts and talents that people have. i truly believe in craftsman ship. when i worked at peppertree, i was amazed at the carpenters there. the huge amazing hoods, or tables, in the time it took i was amazed. i would think it would take years. it was amazing to be apart of that and see the design process of the things that were done. the time, the talent, and the creative process is amazing. pictures via:http://sfgirlbybay.blogspot.com/ talented artist:Whitney Smith. it makes you contemplate how sad it would be if people never shared their talents with others. how sad the world would be. we all have talents, no matter what they are, writing, speaking, compassion, and so on. makes me want to make sure i am doing all i can to utilize mine! i think sometimes we develop talents as we grow.
