so my parents are moving things around at their home, and my mum sent me home with a bunch of paper, and i was going through the paper, and found this essay that i wrote, and i liked it. because today is kind of a day where i need to remember that i wrote something about being postive and that life is all about attitude. it had a few of my 'it' moments that i wrote a few years ago. i had written all my 'it' moments. and some of my friends did as well. so this is my challenge to all of you. please write your 'it' moments and post them. so here i go i know i will have to add to these:
  • hearing the sound of a lawn mower.

  • bella.

  • slurpees.

  • sprinklers in the field, the sound, and the smell.

  • summer rain.

  • getting a new outfit that i did not have to pay for.

  • the clean feeling of a great bath or shower.

  • the smell of the original dial bar soap.

  • laughing so hard, your face and stomach hurt.

  • a good conversation.

  • midnight talks that last for hours with bryan.

  • spending time with good friends.

  • hot chocolate.

  • waking up and realizing you have a few more hours to sleep.

  • the smell of my mothers linen closet.

  • friends that know you, really really well.

  • laughing at yourself.

  • driving on pretty roads.

  • pretty yards.

  • bryans homemade chocolate butterfinger shakes.

  • peonies.

  • a good book that you cannot put down.

  • people that make me laugh.

  • thunderstorms, and the power goes out.

  • seeing laundry drying outside on a clothesline.

  • the mountains of salt lake city, and seeing the sun come up over them. (when i drove to work everyday i saw this. i was lucky.)

  • greenhouses, and the smell.

  • getting our student loans on time. (that has not happened. but it will be an it moment when it does!)

  • peace from Heavenly Father when everything is going wrong, and i feel the calmness that it will all be okay.

  • a good story

  • great music that i can rock my soul too.

  • the smell of a spa.

  • when bryan does something hilarious or cute and we fall in love all over again.

  • the park city arts festival

  • seeing great design from other people

  • desiging something i love

  • the word cozy and people who use it.

  • the ogden pioneer days rodeo. driving up and seeing all the cowboy trailers. just love it.

  • listening to the crickets on a summer night.

  • listening to my police scanner.
  • people that use swim caps.
  • thinking about memories. good ones.
  • feeling like you still got it.
  • being brave.

I love these.. they are so relatable and make me smile. It reminds me of one of my favorite books that your mom gave me for graduation.. "The art of Abundance" Do you remember that one? Thanks for sharing!

danielle, you totally still got it. and when i read the 'rock your soul to' "it" moment, i picture you riding the pony in your red leather jacket, or shimmying.

it's all about the elbows, huh, erin? dani's elbows could be considered weapons when she starts riding that pony! all we need is the old white honda and "fishing in the dark" playing in the background. dani took care of the rest. love this!
