a new obsession. i want to get some of of these matryoshkas for my girls room. there are some that are just beautiful. however i cannot afford the really beautiful ones, however i did find a website that i can afford a 3 piece. i also saw a halloween cat set that i totally wish i could buy. however if you see any cheap set or somewhere where you can get them let me know!photog:http://www.goldencockerel.com

I bought a set in Sitka, Alaska, when we were there. It is a Russian city. There were very expensive ones and then there were the $8.00 ones that I bought, which had 7 dolls in it and was made in Russia. Maybe if someone is going on a cruise there, you could get a few sets.
i really love russian nesting dolls. i think i've loved them ever since there was a segment using the dolls to count on sesame street.
i had some of these from my Grandma ... don't know where they went but my kids love playing with my mom's set. have you checked ebay? i always look forward to your posts ... beautiful things are such a nice distraction from homework!
