mmm.. ever since oli was born i thought he smelled like honey butter scones. I love that smell on him. i also love the smell of eucalyptus and dirt and when you walk past a house that has their clothes drying. indian food cooking and sometimes garlic. this is fun to think about, thanks for sharing. oh.. and peppermint oil is lovely too!
~live christmas trees
~bread baking
~freshly sliced citrus
~russian olive trees (i never knew they lined the canal by my house as a kid. i always thought the canal magically smelled sweet) then i bought a house years later and was telling my neighbor that my backyard smelled of the sweet scent of the canal by my house as a kid. she told me it was our big russian olive tree. mmm, it evokes the carefree emotions of childhood and exploring. i can't wait until it comes alive again in just a few weeks.
~lavendar because it reminds me of mom
~my newborn nursing babies
~basil in the garden
~and chives and dirt, makes me think of hugging my dad after he worked in our garden all saturday morning.
