dusk, light, and trees. and easter candy. and seven pounds.

today was not the greatest day. in fact it was disappointing.
not to mention i went to the dr. this week. it was found that i gained seven pounds in less then three weeks. eeeek! this is due to my thyroid not functioning as it ought too. wretched thyroid! not to mention easter candy is out, and everywhere i look. it is my favorite kind of candy of the year. nonetheless, i came upstairs holding a huge load of laundry, (and dropping most if it going up the stairs.)

i came into my room to fold laundry, and this picture was on my screensaver. and i got happy. why? because i rememberd that dusk is my favorite time of day. and it was almost dusk. i love it when the sun has set, and it is about to get dark, and you don't need a lamp-but turning one on, just makes your home feel cozy. and i like trees outside windows. and i love summer nights as dusk. and spring nights at dusk. like the photo. i love that time of night. and i love fresh flowers on a table.

love alot of things. i am lucky.

i hope tomorrow comes with our little family feeling refreshed and ready to start anew.

Dani,

Don't worry, you will figure out your thyroid thing. The weight gain won't last forever and the whole thyroid thing, your weight will fluctuate forever. Once they figure you out it will be smooth sailing. And, you know what, Easter only comes once a year, live it up!

i love that photo. i really don't know a lot about thyroids, but i do remember when i taught yoga that a lady came who had thyroid issues and there were a few poses she thought really helped her, if you would like I can share them with you... but like i said your condition could be totally un-related to hers, so don't feel obligated to learn or do the poses, just a thought! and i love those mini cadbury eggs.. they are so good!

Dusk is my fav time too -- especially if the weather is nice enough to be outside. The little boy goes to sleep at 7 so we are in for the night by then. No biggie during the winter but what are we going to do once it starts warming up?? Ack!

PS We have already enjoyed a bag of cadbury eggs! We wait ALL year!
